How often should I clean it?

Air conditioners often lose their cooling efficiency due to a lack of proper cleaning. Whether it is a window-type or split-type unit, it is recommended to inspect and clean the air intake filter every two months.

If the air intake faces a dusty environment, such as a road, the cleaning frequency should be increased to about once a month for optimal performance.

What is the cleaning order?
The technician will start the air conditioner first and check whether all parts are working properly. After confirming that everything is working properly, the machine cover will be removed and the pig cage motor will be thoroughly cleaned with a high-pressure water gun. During the cleaning process, the indoor unit will be covered with a waterproof cloth to prevent sewage from splashing out and keep the surrounding environment clean.
What should I do if there is still an odor after cleaning?
Possible causes include: mold accumulation inside the evaporator or impeller, which requires disassembly and thorough cleaning with an antibacterial cleaner; clogged or moldy drain pipes, which require unclogging and sterilization and flushing with diluted bleach; if the indoor environment is too humid, it is recommended to use a dehumidifier or regularly turn on the "air supply mode" to keep the machine dry.
It’s still not cool after using enhanced refrigerant. Is the air conditioner broken?
If the air conditioner is still not cool even after adding refrigerant, it does not necessarily mean that the air conditioner is broken. It may involve compressor aging, refrigerant leakage, dust accumulation in the exhaust gas or control system failure. It is recommended to find a technician to re-check it thoroughly to find out the real cause and then repair it.
It is still leaking after cleaning, what is the reason?
The drain hose may not be properly reinstalled, which may cause condensation water to leak out. In addition, if the aluminum fins are accidentally bent during cleaning, it will also affect the direction of water flow and prevent water from flowing smoothly into the drain tank. If the drain hole is still blocked, use a thin wire or a cleaning rod to carefully unclog it to ensure smooth drainage.
Does the air conditioner outdoor unit need to be cleaned?
Dust accumulation on the outdoor unit will affect the heat dissipation effect, thereby reducing the efficiency of air conditioning. For general cleaning, you can use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to gently remove the surface dust, and then use a low-pressure water gun to rinse the heat sink (be careful to avoid spraying the water column onto the circuit part). If a large amount of oil and dirt accumulates on the outdoor unit (such as near a catering environment), it is recommended that a professional technician perform a deep cleaning with high-pressure steam.
